Sélectionnée comme Woman of the week par Womanity, la plateforme communautaire lancée par Thierry Mugler. Voici une petite interview à laquelle j’ai répondu. (en anglais pour l’instant, je prendrai peut etre le temps de la traduire
)

What are your preferred themes as a blogger ?
As a blogger I take my themes for me as a person, whether it be fashion, culinary delights or just my life in general, I draw from personal experiences and i think that’s what makes my blog believable. Being a girly girl, fashion and personal style is the topic I write about the most ; what I’m wearing, or even better, what I’d like to be wearing. I like to think of myself as every girls personal shopper from afar : I go to shops, try on clothes on behalf of my followers (and even buy some sometimes) and tell them what’s hot on what’s not.
Keeping in with the fashion and shopping topics I cover, beauty and cosmetics tips come up often in blogs because a great outfit can only be made better by great skin, sublime make up and an excellent hair style.
When people come onto my blog I want them to feel like they are taking part in my very own slumber party, an intimate session of fashion and beauty tips, dress up, a look at what the stars are wearing and of couse some girly gossip.

How did the Internet change your approach towards your work?
The Internet gave me a voice, suddenly I could share what I was doing with my girl friends, with all the girls (and boys) ; its really liberating
My blog gave me a Platform to be creative and motivated me to do more with my spare time. The Internet has become a real means to reach out to people, I now have friends in a lot of places and have created business relationships that have allowed me to develop my cupcake business. The Internet is also a great Platform for self-promotion or as I like to call it « free advertising » !!! When I post blogs showing events where i have sold my cupcakes, it often leads to people sending me orders. The Internet is my business Partner !

Could you tell Womanity fans, more about your delicious Cupcakes ?
I started ‘Cupcakes by Shaminista’ last year, after falling in love with cupcakes on trips to the US. I saw an opportunity after going to clubs in Paris and seeing that people were always hungry for snacks on the dancefloor. I said to myself, I’d love to be able to buy a cupcake while getting down on the dancefloor, and with it Cupcakes by Shaminista was born !!
Much like my sense of fashion, if i have to make cupcakes, they had to be the best looking ones out there. I really take my time to chose interesting fillings and topings to ensure that my cupcakes not only look good, but taste good too. My most popular combination is strawberry and white chocolate, which I then dress with pink cream, white heart shaped chocolate décorations and silver sprinkes. I take nearly as much time thinking up décorations for my cupcakes than I do picking out outfits to wear !
Is there a woman artist that particularly inspires you?
I admire any kind of women who fight for what they believe in. I am also impressed by women who have build their own businesses, I think that’s what is encouraging me to think about my own projects.

What are your next projects?
I am working on creating and developping a business around custom cakes & cupcakes for weddings, showers, birthdays & corporate events, etc.
Regarding my fashion blog, I have no ambition to make money with it as it remains a real hobby.
